Single Skin Galvanised Steel Roller Shutter Doors
Unlike insulated roller shutters, which have an insulated curtain construction, single skin shutters are manufactured from individual galvanised steel laths. These interlock to form the shutter curtain, which travels vertically within steel guides and rolls into a coil above the opening.
This makes them particularly suitable for unheated agricultural buildings, industrial workshops and storage premises where insulation isn’t essential.
The galvanised steel construction provides protection against corrosion, while the compact opening system leaves the space inside and outside the building clear for vehicles, machinery and equipment.
MADE TO MEASURE
Our single skin steel roller shutters are manufactured to fit your building’s opening. Perforated laths are also available where additional ventilation or natural light is needed, without leaving the opening unsecured.
OPERATION
Choose from manual lift, hand chain or electric operation, depending on the size and weight of the shutter. Smaller doors can be fitted with single-phase motors and rocker switches, while larger shutters typically use three-phase motors with open, close and stop controls.
COLOUR FINISH
Our single skin roller shutters are available in a range of finishes, including polyester powder coating in standard BS and RAL colours. Plastisol-coated options are also available, allowing you to choose a finish that suits your building.
